HAPPENING TONIGHT: Another Candidate Answering Your Questions On Facebook

SPOKANE, Wash. - During the end of September through the 1st of November KHQ will be having candidates running for public office in the newsroom during the 5 and 6 pm newscasts. The candidates will be logged onto the KHQ Local News facebook page and interacting with KHQ facebook likers. During one of the two newscasts the candidate will give an interview to one of the anchors about what types of questions they're being asked.

So far the majority of the candidates invited to come on KHQ have responded and will be here to help voters make the most informed decision they can.  The candidates that have agreed to be here are as follows:

 Oct. 12th – Daryl Romeyn (D) – running against incumbent Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R) for US House Dist. 5

Oct. 13th – NOTHING

Oct 14th- Andy Billig (D) – running for re-election for State Rep. Dist. 3 Pos. 1

Oct. 15th – Al French (R) – running against incumbent Bonnie Mager (D) for Spo. Co. Commissioner Dist 3

Oct. 20th – Timm Ormsby (D) – running for re-election for State Rep. Dist. 3 Pos. 2

Oct. 21st – Bonnie Mager (D) – running for re-election for Spo Co. Commissioner Dist 3

Oct. 22nd – Dave White (R) – running against incumbent Andy Billig (D) for State Rep. Dist. 3 Pos. 1

Oct. 25th – Leonard Christian (R) – running against incumbent Vicky Dalton (D) for Spo. Co. Auditor

Oct. 26th – Glen Stockwell (R) – running against incumbent Joe Schmick (R) for State Rep. Dist. 9 Pos. 2

Oct. 27th – Vicky Dalton (D) – running for re-election for Spo. Co. Auditor

Oct. 28th – Barbara Mowrey (D) – running against incumbent Bob Morton (R) for State Senate Dist. 7

Oct. 29th – Joe Schmick (R) – running for re-election for State Rep. Dist. 9 Pos. 2

 Nov 1st- Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R) – running for re-election for US House Dist. 5

The candidates who have not booked a date thus far are as follows:

    Update: Sheriff's deputies tell us a recovery operation is now underway at Palouse Falls where a man from Spokane has drowned. Detectives say the 25-year-old was trying to take a selfie with his girlfriend above the falls when he fell about 35 feet off the back side of a cliff. Deputies say they don't know if he went over the falls, so rescue teams have been looking above and below it.

(AP) - A 20-year-old man who was intentionally run over at a Grays Harbor County campground has died of his injuries.      KOMO-TV reports that Jimmy Smith-Kramer of Taholah was one of two victims run over by a pickup truck Saturday.      Tacoma General Hospital officials confirmed he had died late Sunday.

Sunday afternoon Geno Werner went to lunch with a friend on Memorial Day weekend. When the Navy veteran got home, he was shocked to see his camouflage backhoe that was parked on the street right next to his Spokane Valley home was missing.
