SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A 25-year veteran of the Washington State Patrol was the officer who shot and wounded a pregnant woman during a drug raid in Spokane Friday.

Authorities said Lee Slemp is a 54-year-old detective/sergeant who is part of an anti-drug task force from the Pullman and Clarkston areas.

Authorities have not released the name of the woman, who they say was trying to flee out a bedroom window when she was shot Friday morning as officers served a search warrant at an apartment building. Officers said she did not have life-threatening injuries.

The Spokane County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting. They have not revealed any reason for the shooting.

The woman was 39 weeks pregnant and labor was induced at a Spokane hospital over the weekend.
