FB REACTION: What You're Saying About The Baby Killed In Hillyard

Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE, Wash. - Here's some of what you're saying about the baby killed in Hillyard.

Crux Bong Toker: Thats horrible, can we beat him to death?

Jada Lester: He should have been lockedup after the 1st kid he almost killed...maybe that would have prevented this death. *ugh

Maureen Baxter Douglas: there was more than one......oh......what the crap.....

Crux Bong Toker I wonder if this will help their investigation? Why wasn't he in jail for the first time?

Maureen Baxter Douglas: And so he was with this mother when he beat the other child.....man

Jada Lester: ‎@ Maureen...Makes you sick doesn't it :-(
McGovern said this is not the first time Cooley has been a suspect in a child abuse case. Detectives are still investigating a case back in May of 2010 where Cooley is accused of beating a 6-month o...ld baby. The baby survived, but was left blind and with partial brain damage.

Shellie Emmett Hazelton: this really hurts my heart I can not imagine anyone doing this to a child that poor baby may he RIP and may God give his family some sort of peace and strength =(

Abagail Dodge: I feel so sorry for the baby's mom!

Cathye Bordwell: Tragic, what a monster...

Chelsea Melchisedeck: Oh my goodness... Why in the world is he even allowed to be around children! And what was this mom thinking!

Michele Boisoneau: If a child is bugging you this much, why not walk away for a few minutes, rather than hurt an innocent child? I just dont understand how people can do such horrific things to children.

Sonja Bakonyi: Unfortunately it is too late for that poor baby, however he WILL get his in prison. This is about as much justice as we could minimally hope for.

Jeri Humphreys: This kind of stuff makes me physicly ill! I can not began to imagin the pain the mother is going though right now... If it were me the guy would be lucky that the cops got to him before I did! I would end up in prison over this in a heart beat! My that poor child RIP and the mom find some sort of peace. May that man rot in prison for the rest of his life!

Danee VanVleet McGillivray: he shouldve been in prison after the first incident.. the judicial system is more worried about protecting the rights of the accused than children. and who are these women who ARE LEAVING THEIR KIDS WITH THEIR BOYFRIENDS?

Lindsey Deseve-Dunbar: How much can a 1 year old baby bother someone??!! My heart just broke reading this :(

Chairty Rosen-Ehresman: I have a young baby and this story has just broke my heart. It is so sad, trust is such a huge thing. But when it comes to our children we can never be too careful, there are so many different predator and abuser out there today we have got to put our children first and make sure that they are safe. Even our daycare's are known to no longer be safe.

Aimee Moses: What about the 5 year old that was there and what he witness?

Molly Foth: please release this guy and everyone else who is abusing children to us -mothers,fathers grandparents, friends and everyone else who would like to take turn in beating those people in public....Maybe then we do have chance to slowkilling an...d abusing children down

Charity Loftice i would kill someone if they ever hurt one of my babies!!!!what is wrong with our justice system that this animal was even out of jail let alone allowed around children after the first time? this make me very sad and angry!

Emily Norton: It's tragic... women need to be more careful, not only about who they date (like knowing this guy had beaten a baby a few months ago), but who they let babysit their kids. Very sad...

Melanie Bardwell Young: The mother did not know he is accused of beating another baby. The case is still under investigation, and she and her family knew nothing of it. Yes, parents (not just mothers!) need to be careful of who they leave their children with! Abusers are very good at charming people and making people trust them...
