WENATCHEE, Wash. – Bail for a Wenatchee man accused of killing a teenager last February was set at $1,000,000 as court documents detail new information into investigators case against Christopher Wilson.

Wilson was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the murder of 17-year-old Mackenzie Cowell. The teenager was found dead in February after leaving the Hair Design Academy in Wenatchee where Wilson was also a student.

Court documents released at Wilson's court hearing detail part of the information investigators have uncovered since February.

Wilson reportedly told a friend he was, "developing feelings for Mackenzie Cowell and called her, ‘hot,'" according to the friend's statement to police.

Authorities served a search warrant in Wilson's home after DNA tests linked him to a bloody piece of duct tape found near the Mackenzie's body in February.

Investigators found at least two blood splatters in the stairwell of Wilson's home. The documents do not specify whose blood was found.

In one of the more disturbing pieces of new information, it was revealed that Mackenzie's body was found partially dismembered and it appeared someone tried to cut her arm from her body.

Wilson is a 29 year old who studied at the Hair Design Academy and once worked at funeral homes in Wenatchee, according to the documents.

Investigators described an interview with a female student from the Academy in which Wilson said he, "liked to cut people up, something he apparently did while working at funeral homes."

Members of the Mackenzie Cowell homicide task force had previously asked for the public's help locating a specific knife they believed was linked to the crime.

Three people reported seeing a man matching Wilson's description and school uniform in the area where Mackenzie's abandoned car was found south of Wenatchee.

Authorities are still investigating the case and interviewing more people.
