WARNING FROM SPD: Fake Cop Pulls Over Gonzaga Student
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Spokane police are warning citizens to watch out for impostors after a fake cop pulled over a woman near Gonzaga University. A Gonzaga student tells authorities the car had red and blue flashing lights and the man was wearing a dark blue uniform.
The man told her that she failed to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk. He checked her license and searched her car, then left her unharmed.
The woman thought the encounter was suspicious and called police who said it was a man posing as an officer.
