KHQ WEATHER AUTHORITY: Friday: Windy…Skies begin clearing near sunrise, except in the Idaho Panhandle where spotty showers linger until mid-morning. Gusty 25mph Southwest winds and the wind chill factor should make our 54° afternoon high temperature feel more like 45°. Winds diminish by late afternoon/early evening.

Weekend Outlook:

Saturday & Sunday: Mostly clear with passing high clouds and light winds all weekend. Spokane metro area lows close to freezing, with highs in the mid 50's.

Campers/Hunters: Sunrise Saturday is at 7:10am and sunset at 5:59pm. Plan for dry weekend weather and raw morning lows in the Northern valleys/foothills. Low temperatures may hunker down near 25°, but eventually stir to about 50° during the afternoon.

Be safe out there folks. Dave
