Murder-Suicide In Asotin County; Read The Official Press Release
OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: On October 20, 2010 at 9:45 p.m. the Asotin County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a domestic violence incident with gunshots being fired in the 2700 block of Scenic Hills Drive.
When deputies arrived they found Shannon M. McCullough, 38 years of age, dead from a gunshot wound. Her husband, Craig A. McCullough, 45 years of age was also found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident has been determined to be a murder-suicide.
What started as a domestic violence incident escalated where Craig McCullough shot Shannon McCullough and then turned the gun on himself.
Three other family members were present in the home but were not harmed. The Asotin County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Clarkston City Police Department and the Washington State Patrol during the initial response.
