    CHATTAROY, Wash. -  A 28-year-old Spokane man died Saturday evening when an apparent homemade explosive detonated during a Halloween costume party in the Chattaroy area.

    CHATTAROY, Wash. -  A 28-year-old Spokane man died Saturday evening when an apparent homemade explosive detonated during a Halloween costume party in the Chattaroy area. Deputies received a 911 call of a blast and injured man about 8:30 p.m. Saturday.  They found the victim in the driveway of a home in the 3100 block of East Denison-Chattaroy Road.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. -The Spokane County Bomb Squad and the Spokane County Sheriff's Department arrived at the New West Apartments in Airway Heights just before 8 am Sunday morning. Deputies are telling KHQ that they executed a search warrant early as part of the investigation in the death of a Spokane man who was killed by an explosive device Saturday night near Chattaroy.

At this time no one is in custody and detectives are still investigating.
