Idaho Inmate's Throat Slashed With Shaving Razor
BOISE, Idaho (AP) - The Idaho Department of Correction says a prisoner is suspected of using a blade from a plastic shaving razor to slash the throat of another inmate.
The Ada County sheriff's office has been asked to investigate the attack over the weekend at the Idaho State Correctional Institution, which is located south of Boise.
The Department of Correction says Charles Curtis Goslin, 26, is believed to have attacked another inmate at about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, slashing a 10-inch wound across the man's neck.
The victim underwent surgery and has been released from the hospital.
Goslin was sentenced in December 2009 to three to 10 years in prison for lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor. He is now being held at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution.
