SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police have shot and killed a man in the area of Northwest Blvd. & Monroe. It happened shortly after 3pm on Friday after the man shot at a home in the area of Buckeye & Cedar. Although the gunman has not been identified a neighbor says it was a son firing shots from a shotgun at his dad's house. After the suspect fired the shots the neighbor says he got into a truck and drove to the nearby Shari's where he got out of the truck and fired more shots. Authorities arrived on scene shortly after and shot the man. Witnesses say the suspect fired at police first. It's not clear why the man went on a shooting rampage.

The Sheriff's office is now investigating the incident of because of the involvement of the Spokane Police Department.

We are told six officers were involved in the shooting.  All of them have been placed on paid administrative leave.

Authorities will remain on scene for the next few hours as they investigate the scene.

So far no injuries from the shooting are being reported.

    HONOLULU (AP) - Engineers say damage to the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu was worse than expected and it will remain closed indefinitely.    Hawaii News Now reports boat transportation to the attraction was suspended May 6 after one of the vessel operators noticed a crack on the outside of the memorial.

KHQ has confirmed that Dolezal, who legally changed her name to Nkechi Diallo in 2016, is accused of 1st Degree Theft by Welfare Fraud, Perjury in the 2nd Degree, and False Verification for Public Assistance.

Her potential punishment under RCW 74.08.331 could include up to 15 years in prison.
