SPOKANE, Wash. - Investigative Response Team members completed their search of the neighborhood where Friday afternoon's shooting took place, and had opened up all streets and cleared the area by noon Saturday.

The search for evidence was suspended about 10 p.m. Friday so detectives could finish their work in daylight Saturday.

The sheriff's helicopter, Air One, conducted over flights of the area beginning about 7 a.m., but was quickly grounded by deteriorating weather conditions.  The aircrew was able to take still photos and video of specific locations requested by detectives.

In addition to the marijuana growing operation found inside the home where the incident was initiated Friday afternoon, detectives searching the suspect's home on East Fourteenth late Friday evening found a marijuana grow there.

Both drug operations were processed and seized by Spokane Police drug investigators so that major crimes detectives could remain focused on the shooting investigation.

Investigators repeated their request that anyone who witnessed the shootings at either location Friday contact Crime Check with their name and phone number if not already interviewed by detectives.

The suspect's autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning, and the Spokane County Medical Examiner is expected to release his identity afterward.

PULLMAN, Wash. - Six-year-old Denny Curran should be enjoying his last few days of summer before first grade. He should be teasing his brother, splashing in the pool, giving his parents a hard time about vegetables. Instead, Denny is dead, the victim of a horrific, freak bicycle accident that could happen to your child too. "Denny was an extraordinary child," his father Keith Curran told KHQ.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police say they saw a dramatic increase in drug related calls on Tuesday. Police say at least one person has died and officers responded to almost 20 other calls of people acting erratically. Police are looking into whether there is a drug on the street that is "creating adverse health effects." Reported behavior is consistent with a stimulant, causing people to hallucinate and act in an unpredictable and sometimes violent manner.
