STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - One person is dead after an early morning head-on crash on Hwy 395, just south of Clayton. The Washington State Patrol has released more information about the wreck.  According to WSP, Robert L. Mitts was driving a Kia Spectra and crossed the centerline of 395 and hit an oncoming Toyota 4Runner in the northbound lane. Mitts died at the scene of the crash.

Mitts was the lone occupant of the Kia.  The driver and passenger in the 4Runner were both transported to Holy Family in Spokane.
