Reward Offered for Information About Spokane Valley Bank Heist

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that solves the armed robbery that happened December 2nd at the Sterling Savings Bank at 11205 E Sprague.  Authorities have released surveillance photos in an attempt to identify the robber.

A man wearing a scarf over his face and wielding a pistol robbed the bank at about 2:25 p.m.. Authorities say the man walked up to a teller and demanded cash while brandishing the weapon.  The cash was placed in a plastic bag that the robber brought with him.

The robber took the cash and left the bank.  He was last seen walking out the east doors of the bank and headed eastbound.

Witnesses describe the robber as 25 - 30 years old, 5' 6" tall and 130 pounds.  He was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans and was wearing a knit cap.  Police believe the scarf he was wearing was dropped outside the bank.

    MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minneapolis day care owner has pleaded guilty to trying to kill a toddler in her home.    Forty-three-year-old Nataliia Karia entered the plea to attempted murder and third-degree assault. She also pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular operation of a vehicle for hitting a pedestrian, a bicyclist and another driver as she fled from her home in a minivan.
