KHQ ALERT: Winter Weather Advisory In Effect; USE HD DOPPLER 6i

KHQ WEATHER AUTHORITY: The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 10pm Tuesday to 1pm Wednesday, for the following locations: Spokane, Coeur d' Alene area, east slopes of the Northern Cascades, Okanogan Highlands and the Upper Columbia Basin. Light wintry precipitation will be possible tonight and early Wednesday morning...heavier snow...freezing rain and rain will be possible late Wednesday morning. Glazing of ice up to a tenth of an inch possible with the heavier accumulations expected on trees...power lines...and elevated surfaces.  Snow Levels will be above 3,000' in the Spokane area, but closer to 1,500' in the Columbia Basin and East Slopes of Cascades.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Update: Spokane Police Department SWAT Team officers took a homicide suspect into custody following an afternoon shooting in downtown Spokane. That suspect was identified as 27-year-old Joel C. Taitch. He was found blocks away from the crime scene and booked for 2nd degree murder.

    SPRING, Texas - Authorities near Houston are trying to identify a woman who abandoned a toddler on a stranger's doorstep. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says a video doorbell captured the woman running up to the door of the home in Spring dragging the boy by his arm, ringing the doorbell and knocking several times.
