NEW PHOTOS & DETAILS: Spokane Police Officers Identified In Shooting At The Special K Bar

SPD OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: The two Spokane Police Department officers involved in the fatal encounter Saturday night at the Special K Bar and Grill have been identified.

Corporal Zac Storment and Officer Chris Douville both fired at 34-year-old Jeremy Groom as he was threatening another man with a pistol in the tavern's parking lot about 9:37 p.m. 

Chief Kirkpatrick commends the officers involved for facing a life and death situation with courage.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Sacramento police have arrested a married 58-year-old man in connection with at least 10 rapes across Northern California between 1991 and 2006. Sacramento police say they arrested Roy Charles Waller of Benicia on Thursday in the NorCal Rapist case. He was arrested at the University of California in Berkeley, where he worked as a safety specialist in the office of environment, health and safety.
