In Pursuit Of Hockey Dreams

SWXRIGHTNOW.COM - Chiefs hockey players, some as young as 15 years old, move to Spokane every season to pursue their dreams, but when they get to town, with no place to stay, they turn to host families for a place to live.

These families open up their hearts and homes during the hockey season to help young players live up to their true athletic potential. Rob and Rachel McCann have been hosting Chiefs athletes for 8 years now. They've hosted a total of six players, all of which were drafted or signed deals into the big leagues.

Chiefs Hockey Captain Jared Cowen moved from Canada and has lived with the McCanns since he was 15 years old.

>>>Tomorrow morning on KHQ Local News Saturday, KHQ's Jennifer Rohrer talks to both Jared and the McCanns about their experiences and how they have come to be a true family through the host family program.
