Days Inn Robbery On West 3rd; Suspect Remains At Large

SPD NEWS RELEASE: A man with a gun robbed the Days Inn at 120 W. 3rd. The incident started just after 9:00 p.m. last night. He came into the store and asked for change for a dollar. The suspect returned a few minutes later holding a black handgun and a white plastic bag. He ran from the business after getting an undisclosed amount of money. 

The female employee was not injured.  The suspect was described as a white male in his early 20's.  He had very short hair and acne or pock marked face. 

He stood about 6'0 tall and had a chubby build of about 200 pounds.  He was wearing a tan colored plaid hoody and tan cargo style shorts. 

He was last seen running N/B from the store and has not been located by police.  Spokane Police Officers were able to collect valuable evidence for follow up by the Major Crime's Unit.

    COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Idaho State Police are asking for help identifying a bicyclist killed in hit and run crash on I-90 late Tuesday evening. The crash occurred shortly before 10pm Tuesday on I-90 at milepost 15.5 in Coeur d'Alene. According to Idaho State Police, an unknown vehicle struck a person on a bicycle in the westbound lane of travel.
