While the men battle the Gaels in Spokane Thursday night, the Gonzaga's women's team will be in sunny Southern California playing Saint Mary's in Moraga.

The Zags (17-4, 5-0), unlike their male counterparts, go into Thursday's riding a high, you could say.

"We're looking forward to the road trip," said Courtney Vandersloot this week about playing in California. "Saint Mary's is always a tough place to play at and they always play us hard."

Gonzaga and Saint Mary's (12-8, 4-1) are No. 1 and No. 2 in the conference. Only a game separates the two teams, although the Zags have a considerably better overall record.

Thursday's game tips off at 6 p.m. and can be seen on CBS College Sports.
