Detectives Find “Hundreds” of Child Porn Pics; Searching For Sex Offender

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Authorities are searching for a registered sex offender accused of raping and molesting a 4-year-old girl after detectives obtained hundreds of graphic pictures allegedly from the man's camera.

Detectives are asking for the public's help to find 51-year-old Glenn Sapp after obtaining an arrest warrant on Thursday.

A woman approached detectives on Sunday with hundreds of graphic pictures on a camera memory stick. Witnesses said the memory stick was from a camera stolen from Sapp's Spokane Valley home.

Court documents outline 223 pictures and 49 videos of a naked man, purported to be Sapp, and young children on the memory stick.

A different person also approached detectives with computer files allegedly from Sapp's laptop. Detectives allege the laptop contained images of Sapp sexually abusing a "very young" female, perhaps as young as three years old.

In 1999, a Chelan County court convicted Sapp of two counts of having pictures of minors engaged in sexually explicit acts. Sapp used a Polaroid camera to take photos of minors who were his neighbors.

The conviction required Sapp to register as a Level 1 sex offender.

Authorities have identified at least one new victim from the memory stick photos and working to identify others.

The Sheriff's Office spent several hours Thursday searching homes and locations Sapp frequents but could not find him.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.

Fire lined vs. fire containment: What's the difference?

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - We've had a lot of questions about what firefighters  are talking about when they say that the fire is 100 percent lined, but that the Upriver-Beacon fire is 0% contained. Here's the gist, according to firefighters: Containment is essentially their faith in the strength of the fire line. So when they say there is a line around 100 percent of the fire, but 0 percent containment, it means they are concerned that the fire could jump the line.
