Stephanie Ann WTF! HE SHOULD ROT IN HELL!

Emily Norton This is disparaging... after what he did to that family, and those children... he gets a deal??
I'm consistently disgusted with the DA's in our region... they seem to favor plea bargains over convictions.

Karen Marchand My tax payers money has to keep him alive! personally I dont feel he should be allowed to live!

Willie Krauss Gilmore He has already been sentenced to death row for the murder of Dylan Groene... This is just a cheaper and faster way to get this other family some closure.

Julie Breshears If ever there were someone who deserves the death penalty.

Kristi Cooper HOPEFULLY his LIFE in prison will be a short one.

Karen Marchand Since our wonderful governor keeps cutting and cutting and not enough guards, more than likely his days are numbered!

Willie Krauss Gilmore Does nobody read the articles anymore?

Kristin Michelle Brunko-Merritt Or they could put him in general population. Enough said.

Arthur Lund This is a CA deal by a pathetic excuse for a prosecutor. I believe is will still be on death row in Federal prison in Indiana for the unspeakably tragic Idaho murders.

Carla Scott well hopefully get gets put in a cell with someone that hates chomos and will kill that sob i cant believe that they would even think about make a deal with him i dont get it so now he get to live while shasta has no mom and the other family has no son it make no sence at all

Adam Purdy He's going to FEDERAL prison for the DEATH penalty people! FEDERAL courts trump state courts, so he WILL get put to death despite the "plea deals".

Vivian Snodgrass Why should the tax payers have to support this piece of trash for the rest of his life?

Carla Scott i should have said no mom and brother !! wow i just cant believe it i have chills running through my body and i want to puke

Tony Martinez if he is in general population in prison he will be a target for alot of cons to be the one that killed duncan it will be very bad for him death row would be easy time he wont last very long in population most likely he will have to check in to p.c. !!!!!!!!!!!

Carla Scott ‎@ vivian maybe so but how long will he LIVE on death row there are people on death row that hav been there for years and we pay for them to LIVE

Arthur Lund ‎@Willie and Adam. Thanks. It's surprising that so few know he has been in Federal prison for Federal charges and that's where he's headed. The CA prosecutor must be up for re-election as he added zero to the existing death penalty sentence.

Emily Norton He should get no deal, period. Straight to death row in State or Federal - IMO.

He stalked a family.
He brutally murdered a mother, step-father, and teenage boy.
He kidnapped, tortured and raped two young children, killing one in the process.
...And we are LUCKY that Shasta was found... before he killed her too.
And her life is ruined, forever - she will never get back the life she had before this man destroyed it.

This man deserves to die for his crimes, period. There should be no deals, even if he's being sentenced to death-row on the Federal level. To not sentence him to death on the state-level is more allowance for a pardon on the Federal level, and opens the door for multiple appeals... appeals that will keep this monster alive on our tax dime.

Again, it further disgusts me that our DA wouldn't throw the proverbial book at a monster like this, regardless of the Federal prosecution. They continually send the message to criminals "No Matter What You Do, We Have a Deal For You!!"

Carla Scott and if he going to death row why o why waste tax payers $ to give him a deal it make no seen

Tom Houck Hopefully someone on the inside will serve Mr Duncan the justice he deserves, anyone who kills in cold blood should face the death penalty, not be sentenced to live out his life at taxpayer expense.... Bullets are cheap, feeding and housing someone who ahs killed and tortured over and over again is a little on the expensive side and a waste of resources.....

Tina McDonald The states have shown the pos of all pos's enough MERCY, he showed his victims and their families NO MERCY!!! Fry his ass.....Slowly!!!

Arthur Lund One appeal in a death penalty case might be acceptable. It is correct that this monster could well die of old age before he exhausts his endless appeals. I personally think he should have been taken out and hung in a public square immediately after his trial. In fact, public hangings used to take place on the West side of the Spokane County Courthouse. Even that is far to kind considering his crimes.

Becky Bolen to bad..he needs to die but now we have to pay for him!

Michi Jenkins Actually no mom and 2 brothers and the moms boyfriend...its disgusting. I remember the morning waking up to this on tv..just made me hold tight and become aware more about my kids.. He waited and watched and staked out that house..watched t...hose babies play in their yard..then went and waited till later that night and got in the home bounded and killed the 15 yr old, mother, and her b friend.. Kidnap and rap the younger two then kill the youngest brother.. Just so happen two angels from a diner spotted the girl and called the police... NOW he has lived this long..took this many breaths, ate this many meals... To get a chance to do it another day.. Doesnt matter if federal court or what will or may kill or give him a stay of execution. This man is evil and he needs to be sent back where he came from...

Kay Hook Send him back to Idaho, he has the death penalty there, be done with this trash!!!!

Heather Gemmrig Wth? Why? If anyone ever deserved to be put to death, it is this a*#hole! The electric chair, lethal injection, shooting, hanging...all too good for this one. Disgusting and a huge travesty of justice. Our system is screwed up on this one for sure!

Christine Cann beause of his crimes he wont be put in general population..he is going to be protected....unless a guard would accidently let him out...we could only hope..and be done with this scum bag

Vivian Snodgrass Sad, but the news wouldn't tell us that he met his demise in prison.

Angela Turner plea bargain my ASS!! he shouldnt have any right to any plea bargain. He didnt let his victims plea bargain for their life! he should have no rights at all! he is not human he's a living nightmare that put this family through Hell! be done with him!

Patti Mishler Martin They should let him go live in the woods in Idaho. We'll see how long he lasts there...
Frankly, it would save the taxpayers ALOT of $$$

KHQ Tom Durian Just to be clear... Duncan's plea today is for the 1997 California killing of Anthony Martinez... he will get life in prison. This is his 10th life prison sentence, the others are from Idaho. He was sentenced to death in Federal court, which unless appealed successfully will be the ultimate outcome.

Cynthia Dilday Correct me if Im wrong, but did the report not say it was CA that sentenced him and made the plea bargain with him? What does that have to do with OUR da's here and the job that they are doing? I also believe i read that he was found guilty and sentened to death on a federal level, so he is being put to death regardless od what CA gives him. Read the entire story and dont ASSUME just form the title that the da's are not doing their jobs.

Melva Roberts Where is his victims plea deal????????????????

Jordan Howard Ii think we should cut off his toes and fingers really slowly drill long nails threw his feet and knee caps slowly anf then slowly take his eyes out and cut off his lips and ears and then leave him in a room to die. Bleed out. That should be the death penalty for raping any child.
