JOB ALERT: Silverwood Theme Park Hiring Seasonal Workers

PRESS RELEASE FROM SILVERWOOD: Every summer hundreds of thousands of guests flock to Silverwood Theme Park expecting to have good family fun and none of that would be possible without a happy, well trained staff to greet them.  This year Silverwood is going to hire and train up to 1,200 hundred seasonal positions at the park.

This is especially daunting as that task includes filling positions ranging from ride operators, lifeguards, food and beverage workers, housekeepers, retail positions to games employees and more.  The park looks for all levels of experience from youth seeking that first job to more seasoned job seekers wanting a fun yet hard working environment.  Positions from entry level to supervisorial are available and include a first class training program that prepares each employee to meet and exceed the expectations of the many different positions and experience levels here at the park.

Applicants can visit www.workatsilverwood.com to fill out an application and then come to one of two job fairs for an interview.

Job Fairs / Interviews to be held:

Saturday, March 19th & Saturday March 26th

10AM to 2 PM

In Silverwood's Theatre of Illusion

Applicants should come dressed to impress with training starting in April. Silverwood opens weekends in May and daily in June (the full park schedule can be found at http://www.silverwoodthemepark.com/schedule.php).  If applicants have questions they can call the Silverwood Human Resources department at (208) 683-3400 extension 4 or email hr@silverwoodthemepark.com.

Silverwood Theme Park is the largest Theme and Water Park in the northwest with 216 acres of fun and over 65 rides, slides, shows and attraction in the park.  The park boasts 4 massive roller coasters, 1 drop tower and a myriad of other family friendly rides and attractions as well as the Boulder Beach water park with 2 expansive wave pools, numerous water slides, play areas for the kids and VIP cabanas. Opening in 1988, Silverwood has grown from a local attraction into a fixture in the northwest tourism industry as the most attended attraction in the state of Idaho.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Initiative-1639 has been the root of controversy ever since supporters began asking for signatures. It became even more complicated when the Washington Supreme Court overturned a Thurston County judges decision after the judge initially threw out over 300,000 signatures saying the petition didn't follow election law claiming it was unreadable.
