Woman Accused Of Breaking Infant Son's Arm, Leg
MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - A 21-year-old Missoula woman accused of breaking her infant son's arm and leg in separate instances has been charged with aggravated assault and assault on a minor.
The Missoulian reports Justice of the Peace John Odlin ordered Ashli MacDonald on Wednesday not to have any contact with the 7-week-old baby unless the visits are supervised by Child and Family Services.
Prosecutors say MacDonald took her son to the hospital March 2 because he had a swollen leg, and medical staff discovered the boy's right thigh was broken and the baby had a healing fracture in his upper right arm.
Court records say MacDonald acknowledged jerking his leg too hard because she was frustrated with his crying, and she told detectives she jerked his arm for the same reason about two weeks earlier.
