Two Toddlers Wander Away From Pre-School
KELSO, Wash. - Two toddlers were found safe after wandering away from a Kelso pre-school Wednesday morning, The Daily News Online reported. The boys, ages 2 and 3 were found playing on a swing set, about six blocks from the First United Methodist Learning Center.
Police said the boys and their classmates had been in a play area in the church basement that morning. When the teacher counted heads, all seven students were present. But by the time they reached the top of the stairwell, the two boys were missing.
The teacher and school staff searched the basement, then they called police. The mother of the 3-year-old boy told the Daily News that the toddlers had only been missing for about 15 minutes.
She said her son had been looking for his grandparents house. She added that school administrators told her they would take more precautions in the future to ensure such incidents will not happen again.
