Kootenai County Ranked High In Health
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - People living in parts of North Idaho can say they are some of the healthiest people in the state. According to a University of Wisconsin survey, Kootenai County ranked 7th in Idaho.
For the second consecutive year the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation released the study.
The rankings factored in four categories: Health behavior, clinical care, social and economic factors, and physical environment.
The survey took data from 42 of the 44 counties in Idaho. Nearby Bonner County ranked 12th, while Shoshone County ended up near the bottom ranking 41st. Madison County ranked 1st.
