ASHFORD, Wash. - Mount Rainier National Park says a group of climbing guides has gone to the aid of a skier who fell into a crevasse on Mount Rainier.

Spokeswoman Patty Wold told KOMO-TV a dozen guides were training about 10 a.m. Tuesday when someone from a party of skiers came to their group asking for help. They said a skier fell more than 100 feet into the crevasse on the upper Nisqually glacier. It's at about the 13,000-foot level of the 14,410-foot mountain.

Wold says two climbers went down into the crevasse to help.
