16-year-Old Graduating From WSU On Saturday
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - The 16-year-old graduating from Washington State University on Saturday is not only one of the youngest graduates in school history, Kayla Heard also earned her bachelor's degree without taking any classes on campus. She did it all online.
The teen from the Mason County town of Union told The Spokesman-Review her parents thought she was too young to send to Pullman. She says she likes taking computer classes because of the
flexibility in the study schedule.
Randy Spaulding of the Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board says he expects more college students will be taking advantage of degrees available online.
Heard majored in history and minored in political science. She has already passed her law school admissions test and plans to earn a law degree online.
