UPDATE: Reward Offered For 'Bad Hair Bandit'

SPOKANE, Wash. - Crime Stoppers is offering a special reward for information that leads to the capture of a woman dubbed the "Bad Hair Bandit."

The suspect has robbed fourteen financial institutions in Washington, according to the FBI, and hit the Chase Bank at 822 W. Francis on Monday.  She has hit banks in the Puget Sound area, as well as in Moses Lake and Ellensburg.

It appears she may be working her way eastbound, and Crime Stoppers wants to end her serial robbery ways before she leave the Spokane area.

Dubbed the Bad Hair Bandit because of the hyper-ugly wigs she wears, the suspect is a white female in her 30's who is about 5'06" tall and has a heavy build.  She has told victim tellers she is armed, but displayed no weapon in Monday's heist.

The Bad Hair Bandit may be staying in lower-cost motels.  No vehicle was seen in Monday's robbery.

Anyone with information about Bad Hair Bandit should call 911 immediately or the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-222-TIPS.

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Sheriff's detectives are investigating the lunchtime robbery of Chase Bank at 822 W. Francis. Bank employees said the female suspect entered the bank branch about 12:17 p.m. Monday and demanded cash, implying she had a weapon. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank on foot.

Witnesses described the suspect as a white female about 35-years-old who was about 5'06", 220 pounds with a heavy build. The tellers said she had dark brown hair with bangs, possibly a wig.  She also wore a blue hooded sweatshirt.

Banks in jurisdictions west of Spokane have recently seen similar robberies committed by a woman of the same general description. Sheriff's detectives are not discounting the possibility that Chase Bank was hit by this serial robber.

That sounds about right for the area, right? Well this house is a bit of a fixer upper. The kind with lots of potential if you invest the time and money.  Currently, however, it is shown on the real estate site Redfin in less than perfect condition.
