SPOKANE, Wash. - No one said it would happen overnight.  But in the short year that Bill Moos has been on the job at Washington State there have been several significant changes for the better. The Cougars' Athletic Director stopped by SWX Wednesday afternoon to do a little PR - just two days before his one year anniversary at WSU.

One thing is certain about Washington State, their fans and the their alum: once a Coug, always a Coug. It's somewhat surprising, then, to see today's blog post on ESPN about spring football game attendance in the Pac-10.

Sure, the Pac-10 - soon to be the Pac-12 - is not the SEC. But 4,000 fans at a spring scrimmage while Oregon shows off in front of 43,000? Check out the attendance this year as reported by Ted Miller of ESPN:

  1. Oregon - 43,468 (Pac-10 record)
  2. USC - 16,850
  3. Colorado - 15,655
  4. Utah - 15,000
  5. Washington - 10,000
  6. Stanford - 6,800
  7. Arizona State - 6,400
  8. UCLA - 6,400
  9. Oregon State - 5,519
  10. Arizona - 4,500
  11. Washington State - 4,000 (at Joe Albi Stadium in Spokane)

Both Utah and Colorado outshined the Cougars this spring, and it's just their first year in the conference!
