Costco Employees Win $200 Million Powerball

KHQ.COM - A group of about 20 employees at a Long Island Costco are the winners of the $202 million Powerball jackpot.

Although the identities of the winners have not yet been revealed, ABC News confirmed that the winners were mostly cashiers and front-end employees, many of whom showed up to work on Thursday, not knowing they had won. One employee, after hearing of his good fortune, apparently quit his job on the spot, according to CBS News.

The winning Quick-Pick ticket was purchased at the Maulik & Chandni stationery store on Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst and it's not the first time the store, owned by Sam Patel and Pat Desai, has sold winning tickets.

"We had a $1 million winner, $90,000 winner," Desai told 1010 WINS, adding "it's a lucky place, let's put it that way."

Patel and Desai will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket, reports Newsday.

The winning combination for this lottery was 8, 18, 38, 46 and 56, and the winning Powerball number was 31. The odds of winning the grand prize for Powerball are one in 195 million, according to Gothamist.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Location, location, location.  You may have seen a post making its way around social media of a house listing in Seattle for nearly $450,000. That sounds about right for the area, right? Well this house is a bit of a fixer upper. The kind with lots of potential if you invest the time and money.  Currently, however, it is shown on the real estate site Redfin in less than perfect condition.
