Victim: 'I Was Vacuuming My Car When The Suspect Jumped In And Took Off!'

KHQ.COM - On Thursday afternoon authorities got a call that a suspect with warrants was at the Hico at Sprague & Mullan. When officers arrived on the scene they didn't immediately see him but did see his vehicle. Shortly thereafter officers spotted the man and chased him on foot.

The suspect then jumped into a vehicle and drove it off the lot. The car owner tells authorities that he was vacuuming his car when it happened. The police then took off after the suspect in a high speed chase that went through a yard, a fence and an embankment.

During the chase the suspect jumped out of the vehicle and ran across I-90 and into Spalding Auto Parts where he hid until a K-9 unit found him. The suspect has been identified as Kevin Hodgson. At this hour we're awaiting more detailed information from authorities.

    SEATTLE (AP) - Forecasters are warning of unhealthy air in parts of the Pacific Northwest as winds push smoke from surrounding wildfires into the region. The National Weather Service has issued air quality alerts for much of Washington state. The service says air quality in Western Washington is expected to worsen starting Sunday. Some improvement is expected by Wednesday. An air quality alert is also in place across Eastern Washington and North Idaho.
