White House Nominates Federal Judge For Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - The White House has nominated a longtime assistant U.S. attorney for Eastern Washington for a federal judgeship in Spokane.

Thomas Owen Rice has been an assistant U.S. attorney since 1987 in the Spokane office. He is a 1986 graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law.

The Bradenton Herald reports that 31-year-old David Vickers is being held without bail on charges of second-degree murder and aggravated child abuse.
