MOSES LAKE, Wash. - Grant County Sheriff's Major Crimes Detectives are investigating an early morning shooting which injured a Moses Lake man.
Around 12:30 a.m. July 6, deputies were notified a shooting victim had been driven by a friend to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. Detectives interviewed the victim, 24-year-old Christopher J. McCarrell, who claimed he was shot during a confrontation at the Grove Terrace Mobile Home Court, 9998 Maple Dr. NE, just outside of the Moses Lake city limits. Detectives have sealed off the crime scene and are conducting the investigation.
The investigation is in the early stages and many facts are not yet known. Detectives served a search warrant on the mobile home in space #70, and are interviewing witnesses.
McCarrell is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
What is not yet known is who shot McCarrell, nor has it been determined if this shooting was gang-related. However, detectives don't believe this was a random shooting.
