19-Year-Old Dies In Single-Vehicle Crash Near Kellogg
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) - Authorities say a 19-year-old man from Osborn died when the car he was riding in ran off the road and flipped.
Idaho State Police say Anthony Legard was the passenger in a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer driven by 21-year-old Chad Ward of Kellogg on Saturday afternoon.
They were north of Kellogg when Ward failed to negotiate a left-hand curve.
The Coeur d'Alene Press reports the car left the road, hit a rock embankment and overturned.
Legard was pronounced dead at the scene. Ward was transported to a hospital, where he was in good condition on Sunday. Neither was wearing a seatbelt.
The crash is under investigation, though police say alcohol was not a factor.
