Sounders' Rosales Named MLS Player of the Week

Updated:

For the second time in two weeks a Seattle Sounder has been named Player of the Week in Major League Soccer.

Mauro Rosales was named the Player of the Week on Monday after helping the Sounders to a 4-3 win over Colorado on Saturday. The midfielder led Seattle back from a 2-1 halftime deficit at CenturyLink Field.

Not only did he score the game-winning goal in the 84th minute, he also assisted on another score - a pass to Roger Levesque, who touched the ball into the far corner to even the match at 2-2 in the second half.

The Sounders have won five out of their last six games and haven't lost an MLS match in nine tries. They play host to Manchester United on Wednesday in a friendly before playing at Houston on July 30.
