SPOKANE, Wash. - A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a train at Maple and 3rd. It happened around 11:40 Tuesday night behind the Conoco Station. The conductor told police he saw someone on the tracks and that the man tried to get away but his foot was caught in the tracks.
The victim is in stable condition right now at Sacred Heart. We're also told that the man's foot was amputated below the ankle. Police continue to investigate this incident.
