UPDATE: Child Falls From Third Story Window In Liberty Lake

Posted: Updated:

LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. - A two-year-old boy was transported to a local hospital Monday evening by helicopter after falling three stories from a Liberty Lake apartment complex. Authorities say the boy was leaning against a screen when the screen gave way and fell outwards.

The boy fell three stories and landed on river rock lining the complex below. When the parents reached the boy on the ground level, the boy was reportedly standing upright and appeared a little delirious. The parents carried the boy upstairs and called 9-1-1. Although the boy didn't appear to have external injuries, such as broken bones, it was determined that he needed to be transported via helicopter to check for internal injuries, such as bleeding or head trauma.

The boy's condition is unknown at this time, however we do expect an update Tuesday morning.

We will continue to follow this developing story.
