Indians Shut Out Aquasox 3-0

Spokane, WA—With the end of the season looming and a trip to the TicketsWest NWL Playoffs on the line, pitcher Chris Hanna (4-2) picked an ideal time for his best start of the year. The lefty dominated Everett's lineup for seven sterling innings, holding the Aquasox to just three hits and no runs, as the Indians shutout Everett 3-0 in front of 4,285 fans at Avista Stadium for Go Green Tote Giveaway Night presented by R & R Heating, KISS 98.1 FM, and Out There Monthly.

After beginning the year in the bullpen, Hanna has made his last four appearances for Spokane in the starting rotation; he's made every one of them count. In those four starts totaling 25.2 innings, Hanna has allowed just two earned runs on fifteen hits, striking out 24 against only four walks.

Hanna's impressive start was complemented by another strong night from the Indians bullpen. Jerad Eickhoff held the Aquasox off the board in the eighth inning, and Matt West used his blazing fastball to pick up his ninth save of the season.

Spokane's offense piled up 11 hits in the win, with every player in the lineup notching at least one base knock. Zach Cone drove in the first run of the game with a groundout in the second and Rougned Odor capped off the scoring with a two-run triple in the fifth.

The Indians remain just one game behind Boise for the final spot in the TicketsWest NWL Playoffs with two games to play in the season's second half.
