Police Stop Car In Idaho After 13-Mile Chase
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) - Idaho State Police officers finally stopped a car they'd chased for 13 miles through southwestern Idaho.
The Idaho State Journal (http://bit.ly/pyRwps ) reports an officer observed 51-year-old Tracy Nii driving erratically in the northbound lanes of U.S. Interstate 15 near Blackfoot on Sunday afternoon. The officer tried to get Nii to pull over, but Nii refused.
Officers used spikes to pop the tires of the vehicle near an exit just north of Shelley, but Nii was only stopped three miles later when ISP officers bumped his vehicle, causing it to spin around near Idaho Falls.
After apprehending Nii, Officers said they discovered he was suffering from an undisclosed medical issue.
So instead of initially being taken to jail, he was taken to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
