Idaho Man Dies In Industrial Accident Near Colfax

COLFAX, Wash. - A 38-year-old man died in an industrial accident Tuesday morning in Whitman County.

Police say the accident happened at the Doneen Gravel Pit on Warner Road, near Highway 27. DeAtley Crushing Service employees were working with generator electrical lines when James Hussey of Peck, Idaho, was transferring lines and came in contact with a line that was still charged.

MedStar was called to the scene and Hussey was pronounced dead at the scene by a flight nurse who was consulting with doctors at a Spokane Trauma Center.

The Whitman County Coroner's Office and Mining Safety and Health Administration are continuing the investigation.
