UPDATE: Fairchild Airman Found Dead

UPDATE: The 92nd Air Refueling Wing will host a memorial service for Tech. Sgt. Robert L. Aronson tomorrow in the base chapel for family, friends and fellow service members.

Aronson, the electrical environmental shop chief for the 92nd Maintenance Squadron, was found dead at his residence at about 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

Fairchild Air Force Base emergency services responded immediately with Aronson being pronounced dead by a 92nd Medical Group doctor later that morning.

"This is a tragic loss which has been felt throughout our wing," said Col. Paul Guemmer, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander.  "Robert and his family will remain in our thoughts and prayers while we continue to help his family and friends during this difficult time."

The incident remains under investigation.

ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE FROM FAIRCHILD: A member of the 92nd Air Refueling Wing was found dead at their residence at about 5 a.m. Tuesday.

"We mourn the loss of a valued member of Team Fairchild and extend our deepest condolences to the Airman's family and friends," said Col. Paul Guemmer, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander. "Our focus now is on helping the member's family and friends during this difficult time."

The incident is under investigation. The name of the Airman is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
