UPDATE: Man Seriously Burned In House Near Moses Lake

PRESS RELEASE FROM GRANT COUNTY: Investigators this afternoon are trying to determine the cause of a house fire in Moses Lake which left one man seriously injured.

Around 5:20 a.m. today, a passerby called 9-1-1 after spotting a house fire at the Harvest Manor Mobile Home Park, 4815 Airway Dr NE space #133, just outside the Moses Lake city limits.

Grant County Fire Dist. #5 firefighters arrived quickly, entered the burning home and found an unconscious adult male inside. He was rescued and firefighters and American Medical Response paramedics started CPR and other life-saving measures.

He was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake, and then flown by Northwest MedStar to Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane. His injuries are considered life-threatening. The victim's identity is not yet confirmed.

The double-wide manufactured home sustained extensive damage, but firefighters made a quick stop on the fire and were able to save many of the possessions inside the home. A loss value has not yet been established. It is not yet known if the home was insured.

It is too early in the to know what caused the fire, and Fire District 5, the Grant County Fire Marshal's Office and the Grant County Sheriff's Office are investigating.

KHQ.COM - On Wednesday a man was airlifted via Medstar to Deaconess Medical Center after being seriously burned in a house fire in the 4-thousand block of Airway Dr. near Moses Lake. A passerby noticed the flames and called 911.

When firefighters entered the home the found the victim not breathing, CPR was immediately administered. It's not clear what caused the fire. At this hour we do not know the identity of the victim.

    POST FALLS, Idaho - The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says a 40-year-old Post Falls man is in critical condition after falling off his inner tube on the Spokane River Saturday evening.  Deputies responded to the Corbin Park area for a report of a possible drowning at around 6:00 p.m. Witnesses say the man had fallen off his inner tube and not resurfaced.
