Police: Idaho Man Stabs Roommate Over Loud Music

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - Police say an eastern Idaho man has been arrested for stabbing his roommate multiple times during a fight over loud music.

The Idaho Falls Police Department said 24-year-old Maurico Edgardo Tejada-Rodriguez was being held at the Bonneville County Jail. Court records show he has been charged with felony aggravated battery and use of a deadly weapon.

Officers responded to a reported stabbing at an Idaho Falls apartment last Friday.

Police say a man at the residence had multiple stab wounds and said his roommate had fled. Tejada-Rodriguez was later found sleeping on the back seat of a car and authorities say he initially lied about his identity, though it was later confirmed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. A preliminary hearing has been set for Oct. 11.
