N. Idaho Man Accused Of Tying Up Boy With Asperger's
SANDPOINT, Idaho (AP) - A northern Idaho man accused of tying up a 12-year-old boy with Asperger's syndrome faces a felony in district court.
The Bonner County Daily Bee reports 37-year-old Shane Lee Crawford has waived his right to a preliminary hearing earlier this week. He is expected to be arraigned Nov. 7 on a felony charge of injury to a child.
Authorities say Crawford's son videotaped him while he forced another boy to the ground and bound the child's hands and feet together. According to court documents, the Sept. 22 video footage landed in the hands of the boy's counselor, who turned it over to authorities.
Crawford is related to the boy but it was unclear how in court documents. He remains held at the Bonner County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
