UPDATE: Woman's Body Found In Douglas County Identified

KHQ.COM - On October 10th, 2011 an autopsy was performed on the female found near Crane Orchard Road on October 8th, 2011. The examination revealed information which identified the woman as 59-year-old Vickey Lee Renner (AKA Harvey) of Okanogan. Her death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head and neck area and is being ruled a homicide. Her next of kin have been notified.

Douglas County Detectives with the help of Brewster Police and Okanogan County Deputies worked most of the night attempting to find information about her activities, where she lived, and who her associates were. 

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office requests that anyone with any information about Ms. Renner/Harvey please contact the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at 884-0941 or RiverCom dispatch at 663-9911.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Wash. - On Saturday at approximately 5:16 P.M. a citizen called RiverCom dispatch to report he had found what appeared to be a human body near the intersection of Crane Orchard Road and Whitley Canyon Road, that's near Bridgeport and Brewster. 

Deputies responded to the scene and found the body of a female a short distance from the roadway. Investigators thoroughly searched and processed the crime scene for evidence. The deceased person had suspicious injuries and the case is being treated as a homicide.   

At this time the identity of the woman is unknown. The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information for assistance to help identify the woman. The victim is described as an adult female (possibly Hispanic or Native American) between 20 and 40 years of age, 5' 4" tall, and weighing between 130 and 150 pounds. 

She was wearing a silver colored ring with a purple stone on her left middle finger. She was also wearing a square faced watch with a black band on her left wrist. There was a small tattoo of a flower on her left breast and a vertical scar just below her naval.
