A day after rebels found and killed Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, celebrations in Northern Africa were toned down somewhat. And Libyan students in Eastern Washington are confident they will be able to continue studying in the United States.

Washington State has one of the largest Libyan student populations in North America, with 50 students taking classes in Pullman.

Funding to keep the students in Washington was in jeopardy when fighting broke out in February. But in June, Libya's transitional government promised to continue to fund overseas students until next May.

As for the situation un Libya, interim leaders said Friday they would delay the burial of Gadhafi's body until the exact circumstances of his death can be determined. They also plan to announce the formal liberation of the country as early as Saturday.
