Woman And Dog Homeless After Fire Destroys Trailer

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - A woman and her dog are homeless after a fire ripped through her home in north Spokane County.

Tuesday morning at about 10:30 a.m., Fire District 4 responded to reports of a structure fire in the 35000 block of N. Newport Hwy.

When crews arrived they found a single wide mobile home, fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters worked quickly to put the fire out but by the time they had the fire under control, the blaze had destroyed half of the home.

According to one of the firefighters on scene the victim was very upset but did have family or friends she could stay with.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation at the time of this report.
