Spokane Police Along WIth K-9 Capture Two Gas Station Burglars
SPOKANE, Wash. - Shortly after midnight on Tuesday Spokane Police Officers responded to a report of a Burglary in Progress at the Exxon Gas Station at 502 N. Freya. The complainant saw three males break through a window and enter the business.
When Spokane Police Officer Deanna Storch arrived on scene, she saw one suspect outside the broken window, and two more exiting. All three took of running as Officer Storch pulled up on scene. Officers David Stone and Michael Schneider caught one suspect who was running northbound, and he was taken into custody without incident.
K-9 Officer Paul Gorman arrived on scene and began a track of the missing suspects with his Police K-9, Maximus. Maximus tracked north along the east side of the Freya Street Bridge, and located a second suspect approximately 3 blocks away, along the east side of the Freya Street Bridge. The third suspect was not located
The suspects arrested were a 15-year old juvenile and a 16-year old juvenile. Both were transported and booked into Juvenile for 2nd Degree Burglary. The missing suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male, approximately 5'7" with a very thin build, wearing a white t-shirt and yellow shorts.
