UPDATE: Shooting In Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Spokane Valley Police have recovered the pistol used in Sunday morning's shooting at the Goodtymes Pub.  The small semi-automatic was found hidden in a residential mailbox.  It has been placed on police property for forensics examination and as evidence.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Deputies were called to the Goodtymes Pub, 9214 E Mission, after one man shot another in the leg about 1:50 a.m. Sunday.   

Callers reported multiple shots fired and the victim was struck once in the upper right leg - a non-life threatening injury.  The shooting followed a confrontation in the parking lot between two groups of men.  The suspect ran south from the pub and was tracked by a sheriff's K-9 team and backup deputies. 

He was found hiding in a koi pond in the backyard of a residence in the 9300 block of E. Sinto.  He was arrested without incident and checked by paramedics for hypothermia.  

The pistol was not recovered.  Spokane Valley Police Sunday morning are continuing their search for the weapon.  The suspect, Aaron P. Williams, 23, of Spokane was booked into the Spokane County Jail on a felony count of First-Degree Assault with a Firearm.

    PENSACOLA (AP) - Authorities say a Florida couple left a boy alone in a trailer for about two months.    The Pensacola News Journal reports that 34-year-old Jennifer Nichols and 32-year-old Joshua Sanders were arrested Nov. 30 and charged with child neglect. Officials didn't say how old the boy was or how he was related to Nichols or Sanders.
