Faith Makes Startling Cancellation

AOL.COM - Faith Hill was scheduled to sing alongside Tony Bennett, Michael Bublé, Cee Lo Green and Justin Bieber in New York City tonight (Nov. 30) for the annual 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center' NBC special, but it appears she will be staying closer to home instead.

The 'Come Home' singer has unexpectedly canceled her appearance at the live show, with no specific reason given in NBC's report of the change. More details about additional artists who will be appearing on the special can be found here.

'Christmas in Rockefeller Center' marks the annual tree-lighting ceremony in the Big Apple. While the tree will be lit without Faith, the mother of three daughters has plans for her own family tree this year.

"Our youngest daughter, Audrey, was born on Dec. 6," she tells Good Housekeeping. "She was eight weeks premature, and we were finally able to bring her home the day before Christmas Eve. So this time of year just feels extra-special to us. And now, every year, to celebrate Audrey's birthday, we decorate the tree on the sixth. It's a little bit of a challenge, keeping a live tree fresh for the entire month of December. But there's no other way we'd do it: We decorate on the sixth, and it has to be a live tree."

Faith will spend the next few months off the road, before she heads out in March to perform in Australia with her husband, Tim McGraw. She is also putting the finishing touches on a new album, which is due to hit shelves early next year.
