Mt. Spokane's Chase Naccarato is fast, quick and smart – and that's what makes him December's Student Athlete of the Month.
"His big strength is obvious – it's speed," said Mt. Spokane head football coach Mike McLaughlin. "But he also catches the ball really well."
Naccarato is an All-GSL First Team wide receiver with 22 touchdowns this season. When he is not on the football field he excels on the track, where he has been First Team All-GSL in the 100M, Long Jump and 4X400 Relay.
"I love scoring touchdowns," said Naccarato. "It's a great feeling when you know you make a great play and your team runs up to you, you're congratulating them for their hard work getting me in the end zone."
Nacarrato also plays to win the classroom. He maintains a 3.7 GPA.
"I've always been taught that academics come first and athletics are just a bonus," he said. "I always put my homework first and make sure that it gets done on time."
